Melville United Church will be “Turning Up the Heat” with a fundraising concert and reception on Friday, October 24, at 7:00 pm!
Neil Dunsmore will emcee a wonderful evening of music and entertainment featuring an array of talented performers from the Centre Wellington community.
Look forward to hearing your favourite Broadway songs presented by Gleeful Sounds, directed by Anne Thomson-King.
Be entertained by Tom Watson’s stories and be inspired by piano solos performed by Keenan Reimer-Watts and Kara Shaw.
Melanie Steenburgh will move you with songs from Les Misérables and Paula Turnbull will sing a delightful aria from Die Fledermaus.
Tap your feet to jigs and reels for violin, guitar and piano, played by Elisa Crespo Guardado, Rene Crespo and Suzanne Flewelling. Felicia Urbanski and Colleen Weber will raise the roof with Hoe-Down from Rodeo for violin and piano.
Enjoy this variety of music and much more for $20 adult/senior, $10 student and age 5 and under free. All proceeds will go to the Melville United Church heating system replacement project. Tickets are available at Melville, from the performers and at the door. Tax receipts will be issued for additional donations of $20 or more! For more information, contact Melville at 519-843-1781.
Melville is a historic landmark church (built in 1900 and expanded in 1930) in downtown Fergus and currently hosts many community classes and groups. It is also home to Brad Halls’ Mid-day Music at Melville piano series. The active congregation participates in local events and engages in several social justice projects.
We would love to see you at our concert!
