The music concert series Mid-Day Music at Melville returns to Melville United Church in Fergus for the next performance, in its 3rd season on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 with the concert beginning at 12 noon and continuing until about 1 p.m.
Join pianist and singer Brad Halls, as he continues his season-long journey through “great music from the movies”. The next performance on February 19 will feature selections from movies released in 1953 and 1954, with songs composed by great songwriters such as Sammy Fain, Harold Arlen, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin and more. Movies like “The Bandwagon”, “Calamity Jane”, ”A Star is Born” and others would introduce great songs – “Secret Love”, “From This Moment On”, “Young at Heart”, “That’s Amore” and others.
There is absolutely no admission charge to attend any of these concerts, but a voluntary donation, all of which will go to Melville United Church to help keep the heat on and the piano tuned, is always gratefully received.
