Presented and performed by pianist and singer
BRAD HALLS
The music concert series Mid-Day Music at Melville returns to Melville United Church in Fergus for the next performance, in its 3rd season on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 with the concert beginning at 12 noon and continuing until about 1 p.m.
The next performance on February 12 will feature selections from movies released from 1950 to 1952, with songs composed by great songwriters such as Burton Lane, Hoagy Carmichael, Frank Loesser and Sammy Cahn. Movies like “The Toast of New Orleans”, “Royal Wedding” and “Here Comes the Groom” brought us popular songs such as “Be My Love”, “A Kiss to Build a Dream On” and “Anywhere I Wander”. Brad will also present musical themes from great dramatic films such as “High Noon” and Charlie Chaplin’s “Limelight”.
There is absolutely no admission charge to attend any of these concerts, but a voluntary donation, all of which will go to Melville United Church to help keep the heat on and the piano tuned, is always gratefully received.
