Mid-Day Music at Melville

January 29 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Presented and performed by pianist and singer

BRAD HALLS

The music concert series Mid-Day Music at Melville returns to Melville United Church in Fergus for the next performance, in its 3rd season on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 with the concert beginning at 12 noon and continuing until about 1 p.m.

The next performance on January 29 will feature selections from movies released in 1946 and 1948.  The world thankfully returned to peace time after the end of World War II and great songwriters generated classic songs for popular movies of the day.  Songwriters such as Harry Warren, James Van Heusen, Frank Loesse and Jule Styne introduced classic songs including “Time After Time”, “It’s a Most Unusual Day”, “You Make Me Feel So Young”, ”But Beautiful”, “Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah” as well as excerpts from the dramatic musical scores from movies such as “Spellbound” and “Green Dolphin Street”.

There is absolutely no admission charge to attend any of these concerts, but a voluntary donation, all of which will go to Melville United Church to help keep the heat on and the piano tuned, is always gratefully received.
