“SONGS OF LOVE LOST” – PART 2
The concert series “Mid-Day Music at Melville” presented and performed by pianist and singer Brad Halls continues with its 4th season of concerts with the next performance on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Melville United Church in Fergus beginning at 12 noon and continuing until about 1 p.m.
With Valentine’s Day falling in the middle of February, Brad will be dedicating the entire month to songs concerned with both “Love Lost” and “Love Found”. The vast majority of great songs are essentially about the great emotion of love, either love lost or love found. This coming Wednesday, Brad will be present the second of two weeks of music dedicated to the “Songs of Love Lost”. The performance will include songs by Hoagy Carmichael, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Irving Berlin, Johnny Mercer, Cole Porter and others and will feature classic songs – among them “Lover Man (O Where Can You Be?)”, “Love Come Back to Me”, “I Wanna Be Around”, “This Nearly Was Mine” and many more.
While there is no admission charge to any of these performances, a voluntary donation to Melville United Church to help keep the lights on and the piano tuned is always appreciated.
