“THE COLOURS OF OUR LIVES” – part 1
The concert series “Mid-Day Music at Melville” presented and performed by pianist and singer Brad Halls continues with its 4th season of concerts with the next performance on Wednesday, November 26 at Melville United Church in Fergus beginning at 12 noon and continuing until about 1 p.m.
For this 4th season of concerts, Brad has adopted the theme of “Songwriters’ Inspirations”, with a variety of themes exploring some of the great popular music of the past hundred years and beyond
The upcoming concert on November 26 was inspired by the song The Colours of My Life, composed by the great songwriter Cy Coleman for the Broadway musical “Barnum”, which led to so many other songs by equally talented writers including Duke Ellington, Leroy Anderson, Richard Rodgers and Elton John. So come and enjoy great selections such as Deep Purple, Little Girl Blue, Scarlet Ribbons, Mood Indigo, Red Sails in the Sunset and many more. We will explore more songs on this theme the following week, December 3.
While there is no admission charge to any of these performances, a voluntary donation to Melville United Church to help keep the lights on and the piano tuned is always appreciated.
