Presented and performed by pianist and singer
BRAD HALLS
The concert series “Mid-Day Music at Melville” presented and performed by pianist and singer Brad Halls returns for its 4th season of concerts, beginning on Wednesday, October 1 and continuing until the end of April next year. Each concert is held at Melville United Church in Fergus and begins at 12 noon and continues until about 1 p.m.
For this 4th season of concerts, Brad has adopted the theme of “Songwriters’ Inspirations”, with a variety of themes exploring some of the great popular music of the past hundred years and beyond
The first two concerts of this season will focus on the theme of “Around the World”, and will feature songs inspired by exotic locales around the world and right here at home in Canada. On Wednesday, October 1, these classic songs include songs written by Frank Loesser, George and Ira Gershwin, Jule Styne, Ewan McColl and others, including Around the World, London by Night, Vienna City of My Dreams, On a Slow Boat to China and many more.
There is no admission charge to any of these performances, and a voluntary donation to Melville United Church to help keep the lights on and the piano tuned is always appreciated.
