The music concert series Mid-Day Music at Melville returns to Melville United Church in Fergus for the next performance, in its 3rd season on Wednesday, April 16 with the concert beginning at 12 noon and continuing until about 1 p.m.
Join pianist and singer Brad Halls, as he continues his season-long journey through “great music from the movies”. The next performance on April 16 will feature selections from movies released from 1969 into 1972 and will include music by composers such as John Barry, Henry Mancini, Johnny Mandel, French born composers Michel Legrand and Francis Lai, and the great Italian screen composer Nino Rota. Come and enjoy song such as “Pieces of Dreams”, “For All We Know”, “Whistling Away the Dark”, power themes from classic films “Midnight Cowboy’, “Romeo and Juliet”, ”Love Story”, ”The Summer of ‘42”, “MASH” and “The Godfather”, among others.
There is absolutely no admission charge to attend any of these concerts, but a voluntary donation, all of which goes to Melville United Church, help keep the heat on and the piano tuned, and is always gratefully received.
