“THE COLOURS OF OUR LIVES” – part 2

The concert series “Mid-Day Music at Melville” presented and performed by pianist and singer Brad Halls continues with its 4th season of concerts with the next performance on Wednesday, December 3 at Melville United Church in Fergus beginning at 12 noon and continuing until about 1 p.m.

For this 4th season of concerts, Brad has adopted the theme of “Songwriters’ Inspirations”, with a variety of themes exploring some of the great popular music of the past hundred years and beyond.

The upcoming concert on December 3 is the second part of our two-week look at songs inspired by The Colours of Our Lives, composed by great songwriters including Harold Arlen, Walter Donaldson and many more.  So come and enjoy great selections such as That Old Black Magic, Evergreen, My Blue Heaven, Bye Bye Blackbird, Red Roses for a Blue Lady and many more.

For the two weeks following, on December 10 and 17, we will shift our focus to celebrate the music of Christmas – a mix of your favourite seasonal carols and songs, some newer, some which have been passed down for centuries.

While there is no admission charge to any of these performances, a voluntary donation to Melville United Church to help keep the lights on and the piano tuned is always appreciated.

For more information on this series or to join our e-mail list, contact Brad at 519-400-1022 or by e-mail at brad.halls@wightman.ca.
