“ALL OR NOTHING AT ALL”
The concert series “Mid-Day Music at Melville” presented and performed by pianist and singer Brad Halls continues with its 4th season of concerts with the next performance on Wednesday, November 19 at Melville United Church in Fergus beginning at 12 noon and continuing until about 1 p.m.
For this 4th season of concerts, Brad has adopted the theme of “Songwriters’ Inspirations”, with a variety of themes exploring some of the great popular music of the past hundred years and beyond
The upcoming concert on November 19 was inspired by the song All or Nothing at All, and early hit recording from the career of Frank Sinatra. Great songwriters have thought frequently about “all” or the alternative “nothing” and you will enjoy songs by Rodgers and Hammerstein, Duke Ellington, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin and Jerome Kern among others. You can almost guess the titles, can’t you? All of Me, Do Nothin’ ‘til You Hear from Me, That’s All, All Alone, I Ain’t Got Nothin’ but the Blues and many more – you’ve got the idea!
While there is no admission charge to any of these performances, a voluntary donation to Melville United Church to help keep the lights on and the piano tuned is always appreciated.
