Leadership

Rev. Lynda Goy-Flint

Minister

Lynda Goy-Flint is an ordained minister who joined the congregation of Melville United Church in September 2021. She sees faith as a process of unfolding, exploring and engaging with scripture and the world, seeking in partnership with the people of Melville United, an ever-deeper understanding of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. She sees the role of the church to be to offer comfort, nurture, a safe place for asking the questions of our hearts and souls, and challenge to live our lives authentically, looking for God in even the smallest and seemingly most mundane parts of our lives. The church can offer these engagements by way of worship—through music, prayer, scripture and preaching, in service beyond the doors of the church, in faith formation and in community. She invites others to join in the journey of drawing ever nearer to God by drawing nearer to one another, and drawing nearer to one another by drawing nearer to God.
